What thermal imaging measures
A thermal camera displays apparent surface-temperature patterns. Rhombus uses it as an inspection tool to identify areas that may need closer evaluation. It does not see through walls or measure moisture content.
Moisture and plumbing concerns
Unusual temperature patterns may suggest an area to investigate, but they do not prove a leak. The inspector considers visible conditions and may use a moisture meter or recommend a qualified specialist to help determine the cause.
Insulation and comfort concerns
When conditions are suitable, thermal patterns can help identify possible insulation differences or other areas for evaluation. Sun exposure, wind, recent weather, surface materials and temperature differences affect the image. A thermal scan does not replace a comprehensive energy assessment or guarantee lower utility bills.
Pests and concealed damage
Thermal imaging alone cannot diagnose a pest infestation, mold or concealed structural damage. Appropriate specialist evaluation is needed where concerns are present.

Electrical concerns: Temperature differences may indicate an area that needs evaluation, but a thermal scan cannot establish the condition of every electrical component or guarantee that a hazard will be found. A qualified electrician should evaluate concerns identified in the report.
